Dyno Testing

The Dynomometer, often refered to as "dyno" is a test performed on an engine to measure its power output. The dyno is connected to the drive shaft (i.e. the propeller end) and gives a hydraulic pressure reading which we convert to Horse Power output. This allows us to test, tune and check engines up to 300HP without expensive sea trials.

We stock Manufacturers Approved Branded Oils, Lubricants and large range of consumables.It is manufacturers requirement that approved oils and parts are used to retain warranty cover. Marine oils are specially formulated for use in the marine environment and are different to automotive oils and lubricants.

Marine Motors hold large stocks of new and used outboard parts. New parts are electronically ordered and can be delivered to our premises within 24 hours of order. We are continually pressing suppliers to improve stock availability and delivery especially in summer months. We carry a large stock of Mercruiser service parts, Honda service parts, Mercury service parts,Suzuki service parts,Yanmar service parts, and Johnson/Evinrude service parts at all times, including filters, anodes, propellers, spark plugs etc.

We respond daily to requests with availability and cost, including shipping. We cannot refund on incorrectly ordered parts so please ensure correct model number/serial number is used.
Model/Serial Number can be found on silver data plate on side/leg of outboard on most models, and on engine air intake cover on inboard Mercruiser models. Please email us at info@marinemotorscork.com and we will respond to your request.

All mechanics have served full five year apprenticeships to two stroke and four stroke petrol and diesel technology, some have commercial fishing experience, are graduates of college engineering and buisness schools, and heavy trucking businesses.

Redbay boats Cushendall are makers of the all weather Stormforce range, available from 5.5 to 16m ribs with or without canopy. The best rough weather hull available.

The Open Boat consists of the four seater side by side Explorer console and a double A Frame. The Wrap Around Version consists of a Wrap Around console complete with overhead A-Frame, Canopy & 4 Pod Seats.
