to Powerboating: (Level 1) ideal for beginners and
those with limited experience
This course provides a short practical introduction to boat handling
and safety in powerboats, this course is usually combined with the
National powerboat Scheme.
The course starts on the Friday evening at our shorebased training
venue in Mahon where we cover the theory and coastal aspects of
the course. All day Saturday and Sunday are spend afloat in and
around Cork harbour practicing various skills and maneouvres.

National powerboat cert: (Level 2)
The aim of this course is to provide participants with the basic
boat handling and seamanship skills necessary to safely and effectively
use and open powerboat.
By the end of this two day course the successful participant will
be capable of helming without supervision in good conditions and
familiar waters. They will also be safety conscious and have a basic
Knowledge of boat preparation and handling both ashore and afloat.

Advanced
powerboat Course
The aim of this course is to provide participants with the boat
handling, seamanship, pilotage and navigation skills required to
drive a planning powerboat safely by day and night in coastal waters.
This course is for experienced powerboaters only, you must have
navigation to yachtmaster coastal skipper level.
