REDBAY RIBRAID 2004

We launched the Redbay 8.4 in Howth at 1600 Hours. Originally intending to travel to Cushendall we changed plan due bad weather and overnighted at Carlingford Marina. Next morning, again in dirty weather we left for Cushendall, arriving at 1600. We left at 1800 and travelled to Ardrishaig, the eastern entrance to Crinion Canal arriving at 2030 for dinner. Having collected our Scottish friends we departed Sat at 1030 for Ardbeg Distillery in Islay. Rounding The Mull of Kintyre in high seas we received a text that trip to Ilay was too rough for smaller boats and had been cancelled, so we continued to Cushendall for some refreshments. We departed the festivities on Monday and dropped our friends at ardrishaig, calling to Sanda for Strawberry Crepes, home made of course with free range eggs. Overnighting in ardrishaig we left Tues at 0900 for Largs and breakfast. Onwards then to Portpatrick(Coffee break), and on to Peel, IOM, and the wonderful hospitality of Mr Eddie Allen, Evinrude Dealer. Departed Thursday am for Howth slipping the boat at 1600.
